I see it plain
in the dark:
a portrait of
moving parts.
Freedom floundering like a severed vein.
There will always be something underneath,
picking at the seams of me.
It's all gone wrong.
Tested solutions try to get in,
but barely even break the skin.
I pushed myself out only to be
snapped back by umbilical habits.
And here it comes again.
It's like i'm throwing pickaxes at icebergs
trying to make the slightest of sound -
any impact at all -
but I fall out of and in line.
And it goes wrong.
It won't be long 'til I'm gone.
